Innsbruck, called the Austrian capital of the Alps, is a picturesque city whose character is enhanced by its location among high mountain ranges.
It is known as an important winter sports center, where the Winter Olympic Games were held twice and where one of the Four Hills Tournament competitions takes place.
The city is famous for its rich history. In 1429, it became the capital of Tyrol and experienced its period of splendor during the times of Emperor Maximilian I Habsburg, who moved his imperial court here. Walking through the streets of the old town, you can still admire monuments from that period. The Hofburg and Ambras castles deserve special attention. The landmark of Innsbruck is the Golden Roof - a late Gothic bay window with a gilded roof of the Neuer Hof Palace.
Innsbruck is a combination of nature and culture, activity and relaxation - just plan your holiday in picturesque Austria!
Flights from Warsaw Chopin Airport will operate once a week throughout the winter season on Fridays at 10:25 a.m. Return flights are on Friday at 1:35 p.m.
